SisterLee Love

​

This notion sparked from the relationship between sisters Naomi and Laila who are only 12 months and 19 days apart and have only known life with one another. Their mom, even at their young ages, instilled in them, “you are your sister’s keeper.” Right after her 2nd birthday, Laila was diagnosed with a speech delay. Struggling to communicate her needs, her older sister, Naomi, began to speak for her.

This sister relationship -pure and filled with everything I want to model in my own relationships with others! 

 

Hey, my name is Shakinah, and thanks for visiting! I always share this story because this is one of the pivotal moments that changed my and my husband's lives.

The truth is, we were struggling (real bad) having children back to back was mentally, financially, emotionally, and spiritually draining. 

​

They slowly have taught us what really matters. Loving and spreading love should be at the forefront of what we do. This example (and so many others) birthed SisterLee Love!
